DeeWanderlust: Brugge, Belgium

Finally, here is the other half of my Belgium travel diary. Brugge was stunning and I thought that it definitely deserved to have its own separate post. This is the link of the first half if you haven’t seen it yet – DeeWanderlust: Brussels, Belgium

Honestly, Brugge wasn’t part of my initial itinerary when going to Belgium but since we were staying longer than planned and with peoples’ suggestions we took a day trip to Brugge. I’m so happy that we did as the city was absolutely stunning.

We took the train from Gare du Midi station and bought our tickets there on the day. Ghent was part of the ticket, but we decided to skip it and focus on exploring Brugge.

Brugge is a beautiful city and I am glad that I got to explore this fairytale medieval town.

Below is Bruges’ Town Hall ‘Stadhuis’, which is one of the oldest building in Belgium. The amazing Gothic architecture was constructed between 1376 and 1420. It’s insane to think that it is from here that the city has been governed for more than 600 years!

Lunch with a view – as you can see I enjoyed having beer, mussels and fries (and of course I also had waffles for dessert!)

I seriously loved the vibe in this place. The cobbled streets, horse carriages and medieval canals reminded me of a place that we visited in the Philippines called Vigan.

Don’t you just love these colourful buildings in Markt Square? So pretty!

Finally, I had to have my moment of overlooking the canal. Touring around can get too much sometimes, most especially when it’s summer time. This is why ever time I go on a trip I make sure that I stop for a moment and take the time to enjoy the scenery. Brugge was so tranquil and peaceful and this was definitely a good trip for me.

Let me know on the comments down below if you have been to Brugge or Belgium in general and what you loved about the city the most?

As for me I really enjoyed my trip because the places were full of life. It was buzzing  with people, music and of course delicious food! I also admire the architecture and historical buildings that Belgium had to offer.

Where is your next holiday destination?

OOTD: Neon floral skirt

Neon, neon neon! I love wearing neon, may it be for spring, summer or even autumn and winter. I usually use it as statement piece for my spring/summer outfits and I tend to use it for just pop of colours for my dark autumn/winter outfits. I really think that it can definitely vamp up an outfit in an instant. The attractive neon colours are so fresh, bold and shows how adventurous you are with your personal style. In this outfit I decided to pair up my neon statement piece with black items, as I wanted the skirt to be the main attention for this look.

OOTD: Flower power

I love investing in floral prints items as it is one of my favourite prints of all time. I like the  look it gives as it is very girl, romantic and just shouts spring and summer! In this look the statement piece is clearly my skirt, which I absolutely adore. It is a lightweight scuba-style fabric. which I find comfortable as they are quite stretchy.

Introduction

  IMG_6662-0

Hi everyone,

I’m sure you can probably already tell that my name is Denisse Samantha. I’m based in London, UK. I’m an accounting and finance graduate, who is interested in anything fashion and beauty related. I enjoy writing and my passion are beauty and fashion, therefore I decided to create my own blog. This is a place for me to express my own personal style, reviews, recommendations and experiences. I will be sharing my favourite beauty products, the latest launches and outfits of the day. I will also share my travel diaries and adventures in my daily life (DeeWanderlust*).

Blogging is something that makes me happy. I used to blog few years back but I regretfully didn’t continue on, as I got discouraged with it. I felt like no one was reading my posts and I kept comparing myself to other established bloggers. But now I’m finally back and ready to write again. I know for a fact that I will be taking those two valuable lessons I have learnt from the old me, which are not to compare myself to others and just keep going. I know that it is easier said than done but I will try my best to do it. I will make sure that I look ahead to the future while appreciating my journey of being in the process of getting there.

Thank you for showing interest in what I have to say. Feel free to comment and ask if you have any sensible questions, as I will be more than happy to answer them all.

Lots of love from,

dsb
